The Sussex Exchange

About The Sussex Exchange

The Sussex exchange can boast an ecological design at its foundation. From the early design of the building, it was imperative that The Sussex Exchange was as ecological friendly as possible to tie into the beautiful Marline valley to offer a unique experience.

The building features a state-of-the-art Boiler room incorporating an Eco-Friendly bio-mass boiler which has the lowest Co2 output of its kind keeping The Sussex Exchange warm via an intricate yet cleverly designed underfloor heating system.

During the warmer summer months, the building is cooled via Air Handling Units of which we are proud to state are some of the lowest energy consuming units on the market with a very high cooling capacity.

While we pride ourselves on the technology that has gone into the building there are some unseen areas that we also love. These include a water harvesting system which is fed into the toilet cisterns lowering our water consumption. A Green Roof was also laid, and this is home to some rare and unique wildflowers, birds and insects.

The building also boasts one of the Best 'R' value ratings for thermal insulation in Sussex keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum.

All lighting at The Sussex Exchange has been changed to LED, this has had a huge impact on lowering our energy consumption.

We have many future developments up and coming to further lower our carbon output and to get as close as possible to being as carbon neutral as we can.

We believe that everyone has a duty to look after our planet and to ensure a bright clean and healthy future for everyone.
